Welcome to Lake Oswego Violin studio! In this letter to my prospective students I d love to welcome you all to my private violin class! I have been teaching violin for over 20 years - first, in my native Kazakhstan, then after moving to US in 2003, in Rochester, NY and later, in  LA. Teaching was always a large part of my musical life, that fulfilled me as a musician and human being. I love to watch my students grow, develop, and achieve their dreams in violin. 

I usually make an individual lesson plan for each student to make sure they develop and improve to their full potential. Students are very welcome to share their ideas or wishes of what they seek to achieve in their studies. Now a little about my education:

I have a Doctor of Musical Arts Degree in Violin Performance and Literature from the University of Rochester Eastman School of Music, one of top 5 in nation. For my Suzuki teaching I  trained at the Suzuki Institute in Ithaca, NY. I got my Performance Excellence Certificate from my esteemed Alma Mater in 2007.

 

After moving to US to study for my MM in Music, I have also started my orchestral career as a violinist for Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra (Rochester, NY), and served in that role for 17 years. In 2007 I moved to California to be with my family, and then to Oregon in 2021, to move in with my partner James, who is also a professional guitar teacher in Lake Oswego (Lake OswegoGuitar). At this time I play with Oregon Symphony, among other groups in Portland area.​

 I teach at my place that I share with James, in Lake Oswego.​

I deeply love the process of teaching a lesson, giving information, showing tips, methods on the instrument and watching my students grow musically.
